Mr. Bruckner's AP Seminar class hosted a semester ending "Seminar Soiree" this week, celebrating all of their hard work this year. AP Seminar challenges students to research worldly issues while considering multiple perspectives. Students write numerous research-driven papers and give various presentations throughout the year that count towards their AP score. "The course can be quite heavy, so it was fun for the students to unwind a little with an upscale brunch. Shout out to them, as they all had a hand in preparing our celebration," shared Mr. Bruckner. Bravo, AP Seminar students, and best wishes as you progress in the AP Capstone program to AP Research next year! #IrishPride #APCapstone #APSeminar #ImagineCreateInnovate #HonorFaithLoyaltyLeadership #CollegeStartsHere #SouthJerseyCatholicSchools
Led by art faculty member Mrs. Gianna Vennell, CCHS fine arts students created portraits of United States Military veterans as one of their final projects this year. Olivia Pawela '25 and Kiyanna Blacks-Stewart '25 were inspired to create portraits of two alumni and a CCHS staff member. Olivia has memorialized CCHS Hall of Fame member John Michael "Mike" Reid '65 who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967, with an oil portrait. A fellow classmate of Mike, Ed Junikka '65, was also honored with a portrait by Olivia, which she presented to him here at CCHS. Kiyanna Blacks-Stewart presented her portrait of CCHS counselor and veteran of the U.S. Navy Laura Mason to her which was a welcome surprise. Thank you to Mrs. Vennell and to the entire fine art class for this beautiful tribute to those who serve our country.

Dr. Nguyen and Mrs. Werner-Kaiser celebrated the conclusion of their AP classes yesterday in creative ways. For Dr. Nguyen's AP Biology students, they continued the tradition of a custom t-shirt, this year's showcasing how facing challenges will grow our capacity for success, defined as the ability to realize God's dreams for us.
For Mrs. Werner-Kaiser's AP Research class (the very first group of CCHS students to complete this course as a part of the AP Capstone program), they were able to enjoy a beautiful and delicious cake made by classmate Sofia Granieri along with their own custom shirt to celebrate the 11 inaugural AP Capstone graduates.
Congratulations to these students and a special thanks to these incredible faculty members!
