Beginning in 2025 Camden Catholic students will have the opportunity to enroll in courses at Mount St. Mary's for college credit. Courses will be taken over Zoom and are available to current CCHS juniors and seniors. This announcement comes on the heels of recent news that CCHS has partnered with a total of nine collegiate institutions to offer guaranteed admission and scholarships for Camden Catholic students to: Mount St. Mary's, LaSalle University, Saint Joseph's University, St. Francis University, The University of Scranton, Neumann University, Manhattan College, Spring Hill College and Holy Family University.
"This highly competitive program is another way that Camden Catholic students are taking a step towards their future through college partnerships and dual credit opportunities available exclusively at CCHS," shared Camden Catholic President Rory Sweeney.
Mount St. Mary's is a private, liberal arts, Catholic university, in the Catoctin Mountains, near historic Emmittsburg, Maryland. The University offers more than 80 majors, minors, concentrations and special programs for traditional undergraduate students, as well as graduate programs.
CCHS students will partcipate in the Mount St. Mary's courses via Zoom and will be responsible for all college-level assignments, presentations, projects and exams. They will receive a grade for each course taken, which will be a part of their permanent college transcript. CCHS students can contact their guidance counselor to discuss enrolling in Mount St. Mary's courses.
