Camden Catholic is proud to announce a guaranteed admission agreement with Saint Joseph's University, one of only six high schools who have been selected to participate in this opportunity. Under this partnership, Camden Catholic graduates who apply to SJU are guaranteed admission with the following parameters:saint jose

  • Any applicant who has a 3.75 weighted GPA or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale and apply Early Action or Early Decision 

  • Guaranteed scholarship monies of $140,000 (four-year total, at a minimum)

  • An additional $5,000 excellence award, renewable per year

The 3.75 GPA parameter applies to this guaranteed admission and scholarship program only. Other highly engaged motivated students who demonstrate a lower GPA, will of course, still be considered for admission to St. Joe's.

The formalization of this agreement recognizes the high-level of student the Camden Catholic produces, who can continue their education nearby, in a world-class city, at a higher education institution where they can also build on an already strong faith foundation."

Saint Joseph's University joins five higher education guaranteed admission and scholarship partners at Camden Catholic High School, including The University of Scranton, St. Francis University, Manhattan College, Mount St. Mary’s University and Holy Family University. In addition to guaranteed admission, students who meet specified criteria at each college or university will be offered merit and additional financial scholarship awards, similar to the Saint Joseph's agreement.

Saint Francis University has invited Camden Catholic to partner with their institution through their Partnership for Excellence in the Advancement of Catholic Education, or P.E.A.C.E. Partnership. “Through the establishment of this agreement, Saint Francis will partner through the common bond of our Catholic ancestry, to strengthen our commitment to the advancement and perpetuation of Catholic education and providing rich, diverse transformational experiences for our students.” With a 3.0 GPA minimum, a CCHS student will receive a guaranteed scholarship level of at least $88,000 over four years, weighted consideration for specialized/accelerated academic programs, access to “College in High School” and dual enrollment opportunities.

The University of Scranton and Camden Catholic “share a common mission to educate young men and women in the Catholic tradition through rigorous academics and a focus on holistic learning.” Scranton is offering CCHS students, with a 3.0 GPA minimum, guaranteed admission for bachelor’s-level programs and a minimum guaranteed scholarship level of at least $88,000 over four years.

Mount St. Mary’s University is “inspired by the Roman Catholic tradition and united in a mission to develop ethical leaders committed to lives of significance and service to others.” They offer this partnership with a mutual goal of enhancing access to high quality Catholic education at the high school and post-secondary levels. CCHS students who have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA will earn admission and a four-year scholarship award between $26,000 and $31,000 per year.

Holy Family University shares a common commitment with Camden Catholic to educating students by empowering them to assume life-long responsibilities to God, society, and self in order to become well-rounded, life-long learners. To qualify for the Holy Family educational partnership, CCHS students must earn a 2.5 minimum GPA, and will receive a $17,000 minimum annually renewable scholarship, In addition, CCHS students will be provided with a list of eligible courses to take as part of dual enrollment. Holy Family will also explore a Nursing pathway dual enrollment as students begin their sophomore and junior years at CCHS. With successful completion, students who meet all admission and nursing requirements will be eligible to enter Holy Family University with Nursing major status.

These agreements are active as of signing, and Camden Catholic looks forward to the class of 2025 taking advantage of these incredible partnerships as they prepare for the college admission process.
