Camden Catholic High School has named Mr. Jim McHugh as the school’s next Director of Athletics. Mr. McHugh is a seasoned athletic department professional with over 10 years of experience, most recently as head athletic trainer at Group IV Rancocas Valley High School.
"We are excited to have Jim join the Camden Catholic administration. We were fortunate to have a very competitive pool of applicants and Jim emerged as the best person to lead Irish athletics, coaches, teams and student-athletes. His leadership, communication, and organizational skills will serve him well in the role. Our Irish athletic programs are in good hands with Jim," shared Rory Sweeney, Camden Catholic President.
In addition to his years of service to Rancocas Valley, Jim worked as an athletic trainer at The College of William & Mary, and a graduate assistant trainer at Salisbury University, where he earned his Master’s degree.
“I’m honored and humbled for the opportunity to join such a heralded and historic institution. The name ‘Camden Catholic’ has had significance in the South Jersey area and beyond for the last century, and the chance to lead an already thriving athletic department is truly a privilege,” says Jim. “I look forward to contributing my passion for sports and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I’m excited to build upon the rich legacy of Camden Catholic, creating a positive and fulfilling experience for our student-athletes and school community.”
