As a recent CCHS graduate, Giovanna '22 has wasted no time getting involved in life at St. Joseph's University. She is currently a sophomore Health Administration major, and was initiated into the Zeta Pi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, which is a Professional Business Fraternity on campus. She was Fundraising Chair of her pledge class, she performs the National Anthem for both the Men's and Women's basketball teams and was just accepted into the Dean's Leadership Program. Over the summer she vocal-directed her first show, and she sings throughout the summer and winter months at St. Damien's in Ocean City, NJ.
"I am part of Hawkappella, which is the only all gender a cappella group on campus, and has prompted me to start arranging my own music. I am also involved in SJU Theater Company, I participate in spiritual activities such as being part of SoJourn, which was almost like a mini Kairos for sophomores, and am involved with community service on and off campus," says Giovanna.
Her wide ranging activities and academic pursuits don't end there as she continues her strong pursuit of service, which was a major part of her activities when she was a student at Camden Catholic. "I am the Team Captain Coordinator of SJU Hawks for Heroes which is SJU's on campus team that works and coordinates with B+ Foundation, and I still go back to the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden."
Keep up this amazing work, Giovanna! We love seeing all that you have taken from your CCHS experience and built on during your life at college.
